Fairytale morning at Chaukori!

The first rays of the morning sun break into the dark of the night, as though lifting a veil and revealing the Goddess of the hills - Nanda Devi,
glistening along with her surounding peaks....a short description of what happens everyday at Chaukori, a tiny hill station in the Pithoragarh district of Kumaon. Set amidst lofty mountains and pristine forests, here one can view some of the highest Indian peaks including Pachachuli, Makhtoli, Nanda Devi East and Nanda Ghunti. To the north is Tibet and to the south is Terai. The Mahakali River, running along the east, forms the Indo-Nepal international border.
