Flowers bloom in the Chopta Valley

Surrounded by pristine forests and mighty Himalayan peaks, Chopta is a little settlement in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand.
Famous for being the starting point of the hike to Chandrashila and Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, at Chopta one can enjoy unforgettable views of snow capped mountains and gorgeous sunsets.
The area is rich in varied flora and fauna and in the thick forests one can see rhododendron and Deodar(pine) trees is abundance along with plenty of birds, especially Monals and high doaring griffins.
